About Ashby Insider
👋 What this is
Ashby Insider is a free weekly newsletter and website for Ashby-de-la-Zouch and the villages around it: Moira, Donisthorpe, Woodville, Packington and the edges of Coalville.
Think of it as a well-informed neighbour who has done the legwork. Every Thursday at 6pm, just in time for the weekend, we round up what’s worth knowing: events worth leaving the sofa for, food and drink news, council decisions in plain English, handy heads-ups and the odd bit of local history.
🔗 How we work
- Every item links to its source. If we can’t point you to where it came from, it doesn’t go in.
- Dates, times, prices and places are written in full. Even so, please check with the organisers before you set off.
- No gossip, no clickbait and no point-scoring. We report council decisions plainly and link to the papers.
